Detailed Itinerary for 1 Day Ziwa Rhino Tracking 

After an early breakfast, your guide from Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe around 7:00 AM for a scenic 3–4-hour drive north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and briefed by experienced ranger guides on safety and the sanctuary’s conservation work. You’ll then set off on a 2–3-hour guided rhino trek, walking through open savannah and woodlands to find and observe the southern white rhinos up close (but safely). This thrilling experience provides a perfect chance for photography and learning about rhino behavior.

After your tracking adventure, enjoy a relaxed lunch at the sanctuary restaurant before continuing with an afternoon birding and canoe excursion. Paddle through nearby swamps to spot the rare shoebill stork and other wetland bird species—a highlight for birdwatchers visiting Uganda.
