Tour Overview

1 Day Kampala City Tour, the capital and largest city of Uganda. Kampala is referred to as the city of seven hills, just like the fabled city of Rome ( Rubaga, Namirembe, Kibuli, Mengo, Nakasero and Kalolo). During this excursion, you will stop at the Uganda Museum, the Baha’i Temple, the Kibuli Mosque, the National Theatre, the Namirembe and Rubaga Cathedrals, the Nakasero and Owino Markets, the crafts villages, the Kasubi Tombs, the Naggalabi coronation site Buddo, the Kabaka’s Lake, the Mengo Palace, and the Uganda Martyrs Shrine Namugongo.

Immediately after having your morning coffee, our guide of Uganda gorilla trekking tour  will pick you up and you will immediately begin off your journey for your city tour to Kampala the capital and largest city of Uganda which is also referred to as the city of many hills.

Kampala, Uganda’s main administrative and commercial hub, serves as the perfect gateway apart from  the country’s national parks. As a modern capital surrounded by lush greenery, Kampala offers a vibrant atmosphere with numerous top-notch hotels and restaurants serving cuisine from around the world. Its proximity to Lake Victoria also attracts visitors who enjoy fishing and other water sports.

Drive out early in the morning to see places like the Nommo Art Gallery and other craft shops, the kasubi tombs, Namugongo Martyrs’ Shrine (where young Christians were burned by the king of Buganda for refusing to worship him), the Gadhafi Mosque, and so on. To visit the Parliament, the Independence Monument, and other locations, keep driving through the city.

Depending on time constraints and whether you choose to stop for lunch in the city, you’ll complete all these things. You can either head back to your hotel in the late evening to unwind or, if a Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday happens to fall on those days, you can go for a cultural experience at the Ndere Cultural Center and take in shows about Ugandan culture.
